• Conduct anonymised, aggregated research to advance sustainable farming practices — no individual farm is identifiable in published research.
• Comply with applicable agricultural regulations, food-safety standards, and legal obligations.
• Detect and prevent fraud, unauthorised access, or misuse of our infrastructure.

We do not sell your personal or farm data to third parties. We may share data with:

• Trusted service providers (cloud hosting, payment processors, analytics tools) under strict data-processing agreements.
• Research partners and agricultural institutions — only in anonymised, aggregated form.
• Regulatory authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of persons or property.

Account and billing data is retained for the duration of your subscription plus 7 years to meet financial and legal obligations. Farm operational data is retained for the life of your account and for up to 3 years after account closure to support agronomic continuity. You may request earlier deletion (see Section 7). Anonymised, aggregated research datasets may be retained indefinitely.

CROPORC applies industry-standard safeguards including AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, role-based access controls, and regular third-party penetration testing. Our IoT device firmware is cryptographically signed and updated over secure channels. While no system is completely immune to risk, we continuously monitor for threats and will notify affected users promptly in the event of a confirmed data breach.
